Biography

Because for him, the practice of the piano, the life of the musician, the status of performer, have always been the occasion of a spiritual opening, of a discovery of oneself, and of the human in general. Because playing for an audience involves a humanist dimension, because to interpret, to seek the truth, and the echo of a work in itself, is also a discovery and a work on one's own personality. Thus, alongside his pianistic career, he nurtured literary and philosophical affections, which over time and examples, will be called, Nikos Kazantzakis, Herman Hesse, Fédor Dostoïevski, a thinker like Jean-Yves Le Loup, and many others ...

Before the Roman final, his musical apprenticeship began at the Asnières conservatory under the direction of Christian Manen, where he finished all the cycles of studies brilliantly.

Then come the National Conservatory of Region of Boulogne-Billancourt with Geneviève Ibanez., The National Conservatories of Region of Montpellier, with Patrick Zygmanovski, and of Paris with Jean-Marie Cottet.

During this period, he will also have the opportunity to participate in master classes with Pascal Devoyon and to work with pianist Géry Moutier at the Académie Internationale du Moulin d'Andé.

It was then that he was introduced to Bruno Rigutto. With him, he perfected himself intensively for a few years, before meeting Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden at the Novarra Festival.

He then joined the latter's class at the “Royal Conservatory of Brussels”, where he won first prize in piano, and first prizes in the history of music, harmony, chamber music and analysis.

At the same time, he began to follow the teaching of Sergio Perticaroli at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, before returning to his origins in Rome.

During his Italian period, he will have the opportunity to play and work in the “Rodi Garganico” master-classes, to stay at the Villa Medici Giulini and to meet the composer Davide Liani.

His desire for exchanges, to confront different conceptions of interpretation, pushes him to improve his skills with pianists Jean Marc Luisada, Elena Rozanova, and to play with violinist Svetlin Roussev. He will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the lyric workshop of Normandy directed by Philippe Hui, as well as with lyric singers in the repertoires of French and German melodies. It was during this period that he would benefit from the advice of Noël Lee.

His curiosity and his study of musical and bodily gestures led him to an extensive practice of Tai-chi and sport.

Winner of international competitions in Italy, France, Vignola Classica, Liszt, Naoumoff, Lyon's Club, he then began to perform regularly, Festival Tempietto di Roma, Festival Notte Classice,…

In 2006, he was invited to the USA, and performed a triumphant series of concerts, in Alabama, Florida, in recital and duet with pianist Robert Holm.

On this occasion he recorded the discs "In concert" and "Famous piano Duo".

Back in France, he was invited to several festivals: "Coream" with Svetlin Roussev, "Gorges du Tarn", "Les Week-end du Piano" in Maisons-Laffitte, "," Parc de Bel Ebat "in Avon," Musique en Fête ”from Alsace where he recreates Marie Jaëll's great sonata on stage,“ Classical and Jazz ”in Val-Thorens, the Festival du Château de Martigny.

In 2008, he was invited back to the USA, following the success of the first, a new tour that took him to Louisiana, Mississippi, and other southern states, he played in New Orleans, for the Trinity Concert series. He performs in recital, and duet with Robert Holm, also collaborates with several American universities, "South Alabama University" and "Birmingham University" and gives a live radio concert.

Importants events :

In 2011 he recorded the album "Liszt Invocation", in honor of this composer who fascinated him since his beginnings as a pianist, he made a trip there in the different styles of Liszt compositions and his transcriptions.

In 2012, new invitation to the USA, for concerts, master-class, and as a lecturer on piano technique in French music at the University of Alabama.

In 2013, the Brahms album "Alpha and Omega", synthesis between the beginnings of the composer and his last works.

In 2015, American and Canadian tour, in recital, master-class and speaker on Russian music.

In 2016, invitation to the prestigious Verbier Festival, for a “music and brain” workshop.

In his next projects are, among other concerts and invitations, the creation of a new piano-violin duo.

In 2018 return to North America, for a tour of the USA and Canada.

For the future, a new recording is in preparation, and a new American tour in

2022, with the work of Franz Liszt as a focal point, concert tour, masterclasses and conferences.
